BRIEF:
Whole house renovation. Large scale design. 90's brown brick and weatherboard home with raked ceiling and post modernist vibe. Covert garage to self contained studio apartment. New bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, flooring, paint and exterior revamp.

Conversion of garage to granny flat/dual occupancy living with a studio configuration. Kitchenette with dishwasher drawer and fridge/freezer and stunning brush copper sink. A splashback fixed window was put in the opening of the old garage sliding doors. Clever storage for clothes and a hidden laundry with linen storage. Ensuite bathroom with concealed cistern wc and walk in shower. Brushed copper tapware and a recessed mirrored cabinet for storage.

Main house master suite was reconfigured to create new large walk in wardrobe and ensuite with a matte black freestanding bath (clients request) and with a seperate large walk in shower the space was maximised but mostly retaining the original layout for ease of plumbing. The matte black was brought through again by the ribbon of black on the base of the basins. Brushed copper tapware brings a warmth and fitted well with the brown brick exterior of the home, and the brown metal windows which had to stay. Heated vertical towel rails and a floor mounted bath spout add to the luxury of the space.

A glass balustrade was added to a mezzanine study area to allow light and openess to the space.

New main bathroom with freestanding bath, walk in shower timber vanity, brushed copper tapware and LED mirror carries the luxury theme throughout.

A whole new laundry had to be created with linen closet, brushed copper sink and tapware and a stunning real limestone feature kit kat tile.

The kitchen had a huge transformation with the removal of the peninsula and the creation of a huge 2.4m island. Copper sink, handles and tapware sits beautifully beside the Polytec Verdehlo cabinetry with Boston Oak overheads. Bright white stone benchtops and copper lights over the island make the kitchen a much bright -and safer- place to cook and entertain. Integrated dishwasher and Bosch appliances including the oven plus combination oven/microwave gives the luxury of a second oven in the kitchen. A cute breakfast bar nook with space for coffee machine and kettle or just a perfect spot to make a quick breakfast. The feature limestone tile appears here again as a splash-back as well as as a splash-back behind the cooker. As they are real limestone tiles they had to be sealed to protect them.

With new timber hybrid flooring throughout the living area, soft clay coloured carpets in the bedrooms and gorgeous 600x600mm bianco vein cut travertine porcelain tiles in all the bathrooms and laundry, new blinds in every room and curtains in the formal lounge, there was no area left untouched. Even the exterior had new gutters, paint and driveway. New timber and glass exterior doors with digital keyless lock entry system. Exterior lighting was replaced and installed where required.

A home that has been well loved by a family for many years but had fallen into disrepair after a death in the family. The estate decided to renovate and do the home justice before selling on to a new family.

We were involved from concept space planning to custom cabinetry design to specification of all fixtures and finishes. A huge project but very rewarding and a great result in the end with a new life given to a really unique home.

We specified every fixture and finish to ensure a cohesive scheme and end result.
