About Glasgow Studio...
Led by Jennifer, a Glasgow-born designer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design and over 25 years industry experience, Glasgow Studio brings an architectural approach to residential design - focusing on spacial clarity, functionality and refined detail.
I moved to Australia in 2007 and over the years have grown Glasgow Studio organically, mostly through word of mouth recommendations. Alongside this I am also a professional real estate photographer, a unique combination that gives me an added appreciation for space, local architecture and identifying areas of value within a home.
I consider how a home feels, functions, and flows - creating functional spaces through clever space planning and design solutions, that are not only beautiful, but deeply thoughtful and specific to the way you live.
Acting as the bridge between you, your builder, and your trades, I use a suite of 2d and 3d plans and drawings, design documentation, specification of fixtures and finishes, custom cabinetry design and site visits to help ensure decisions are made with confidence and that the vision is carried through with precision.
I have strong relationships with builders, trades and suppliers, and can provide recommendations if required.
Designing or renovating a home involves hundreds of decisions, especially around fixtures and finishes, and getting them wrong can be costly. I will be there to guide you through the process, saving you countless hours researching, sourcing and second guessing decisions. I can also accompany you on selection appointments to ensure everything works cohesively. Through my network of trusted suppliers, I am able to offer access to trade pricing and exclusive discounts - savings passed on to my clients.

Glasgow Studio offers a comprehensive Concept Design Package which includes the following services
Space Planning and Design
If you have floorplan layout that is not working for your lifestyle, you want to add more space to your home, or if you are building from scratch and want a truly custom plan then I can help with space planning, reconfiguration of floorplans, small extensions and creation of new interiors and exteriors.
I provide 2d plans and working design drawings for builders and trades to quote and work from.
I solve your layout issues for easier living, increased space, improved flow and practicality plus potential increased value added to your home.
With a suite of plans, 3d visualisations using models and renders, and detailed design drawings - your vision for your project will be brought to life and interpreted in a way that everyone understands and can easily visualise.
Consultations, measuring, site visits and liaising with builders, trades and suppliers to ensure the project runs smoothly, any problems are resolved and the design vision is realised.
Custom Cabinetry Design
Custom designs for kitchen, pantry, laundry, study, robes, entertainment units and any other custom cabinetry requirements.
New spaces will be planned with practicality and aesthetics in mind. Good design has to function as well as look good.
Plans, 3d visualisations using models and renders, and detailed design drawings are provided for your trades and cabinetmaker to work from.
We have a colour consult together to choose all your fixtures and finishes such as cabinetry colours and finishes, bench-tops, splash-backs, tap-ware, handles, lighting etc.
A specification document will give details of all products, quantities, and pricing.
Fixtures & Finishes Specification
One of the hardest parts of a renovation or new build is making all the design decisions that come with it such as choosing tiles, flooring, paint, cabinetry finishes, bench-tops, tap-ware, handles, lighting, and so on.
The builder and trades throwing questions at you that you don't have the expertise to answer.
Its also very expensive and time consuming to make mistakes at this level.
This is where I can really help!
An experienced professional interior designer to guide you through, give advice on important decisions, accompany you on shopping trips, and scour the internet and shops for the best products at the best prices. With access to exclusive trade discounts where applicable, you can also save money in the process.
